mounting trans cooler in the rear.

deffinately convenient. not to mention at $15 + per fitting plus the price of hose, that crap adds up quick ! i was getting ready to put together braided lines for my new fuel/oil press gauges, then i found kits avaliable for a little more than one of the fittings alone ! so i bought 2, should be here tomorrow !!!!

Save your time, its a
1/8" NPT Male x -6AN.
I just hate when people throw around wrong information.
If you want I wont reply to any of your questions if you feel that way.

Every performance 727 I have seen for years has had the line openings opened up to 1/4"npt, a much stronger fitting and better fluid flow.

Oh really now.
So why does my ProTrans have 1/8" NPT and NOT 1/4"
The guy has got a stock Transmission. Why would you give him that information?
:mblah05:
Unless your back peddling again!:icon_puke_l:

Whatever, I forgot...you are an expert on everything. The Smiths do this to everyone of there trannies I have seen.

True so True. I will just leave it where it is at, this way I wont have to re-route things.

What fitting are you putting in the trans? I have the stock ones. Do they make a -06 fitting that would fit into the trans ports. If so where do I get them, local speed shop?
Jeggs has a fitting that is 1/4 x 6an for 12.00 for two I would use a cooler that is all 6an and no barbed.

I have an A&A Transmission. It is the Comp plus model. I took out the stock fitting from my other trans and they went right in so it must be the 1/8" fittings. I will talk to Rick at the Indy Show coming up.

Thanks guys.

I was pricing the set up and figured it will be close to $100 but then I shouldn't have to worry about it again. So money well spent,Right?

So what did you find out at the Indy show talking to Rick at A & A?

Crap, now I gotta go pull a fitting off of my 727 in the garage. I always thought they were 1/4 NPT. Then again, I am usually making lines for GM trannys. I prolly am just confused.

Don't waste your time its 1/8 NPT.

LOL, it's more like it gives me something to do with that dang thing I've been stubbing my toe on for six months...... (Gives me a sense of accomplishment).

Let me know how you make out. Knock yourself out! lol :rev_in_action:

I totally forgot to talk to Rick (A&A) DAMN IT, I knew i was forgetting something!!!

I agree, they are just convenient (you can't imagine how much trouble I have spelling that word). I ordered all my stuff through summit individually.

Summit FTW!!!! I can't believe how much it comes out to. We pieced the engine oil cooler together and it about made us broke..... LOL!!!
