The '72 Satellite Sebring Plus is parked in a garage (more like a carport-no front doors). I was out of town for a month and when I went to charge the battery, found a nest underhood and the front driver's side turn signal lens covered with a mud nest from some kind of bee species. Imagine how quickly nature will take over things once we are gone from this planet.

Now it stinks under hood also (if you know what I mean).

For Gods' sake don't put any moth balls around. I did that once about 30 years ago and it took forever for that smell to dissipate. When I stored a car in a building with a dirt floor one winter, I put a bunch of dryer sheets under the hood, in the trunk and interior. I didn't see any mice evidence in the spring so it worked for me but I had one guy tell me the mice made a nest out of the dryer sheets he used. Not sure I believed him though.

Capture the rodent alive and release him after setting him on fire. He'll go back to his family and friends to tell them to stay away from your place.

Just kidding!!

I have a Hot Dawg heater in my garage and I wire two cotton balls to the louvers and give them
a good dose of peppermint oil a couple of times a week during the winter. No Mice.

You could just get a nice sleeping bag and a .45 and just wait. I use dryer sheets for years and it seems to work.
