How long did it smoke, and how much? Mine always smokes first of the season because the valve seals leak some during winter. Run it for 2 or 3 min and it clears up fine for the rest of the season.

need to know what engine were dealing with before throwing out advice! some of these small engines are near 200psi compression with compression relief cam operation!
does it have a "this side up" label? kinda like laying sod with milennials, "Green side up"
