My question was wiring my 7AL-2 and 2 step on my stock eliminator car. Finally figured it out. Was just a little unsure until I really started to check things out. My concern at first was to make sure that the brake pedal switch was off in third gear. Has been an interesting experience. So I did have to edit my original question to save everyones time explaining what I needed to do.

With the amount of pedal travel and slop in a factory switch I wouldn't be trusting my R/T with it. I think an adjustable range pressure switch in the brake system would be the way to go. But heck use the tach my feet and it works pretty well.

I use a Biondo switch on the brake pedal and a micro switch to break the circuit to the 2 step when in third gear.
