I was wondering if anyone has any personal experience with a 6a Msd ignition box?

I know it lets out multiple sparks, but does it actually increase MPG or power? It will be used on a 360 if that matters

Thanks

Yes. It's one of the best things you can do for your ride. It does what is claimed.

The instructions are wrong. The rev limiter/tach position with key on lies. they admit it. the red led on; wrong .they admit it. They re=programmed the chip, but still enclose out-dated instructions.

FREAKING LOVE MINE!!! pardon me but its the TITS! not to mention makes cold starting so much easier and makes throttle response a possibility. easy to install and it works.

Im gonna have to look into one. Im going to be using a stock distributor though that already had electronic ignition. I have MSD wires on it already as well, so hopefully Ill get some noticable gains

I've run them on both my cars so far with 440's. The first I had on the 440 in my '71 'Cuda and the latest in my '63 330.

The 6AL is the one to buy since it has a rev limiter and isn't that much more $.

They do clean up idle and do seem to run much better around town but I never saw any difference in performance.

Mine was stone reliable in the 'Cuda and I put quite a few miles on it between using it with a smallblock and then the 440.

I always use a re-curved Mopar electronic distributor with Mr. Gasket #925-B lightweight springs to trigger it. The latest one I've hidden under the battery tray so hooking it up was a breeze. The best thing? NO BALLAST RESISTOR!

My newest 440 in my '63 Starts INSTANTLY after just a blip or two of the throttle to prime the carb. I hate the chrome box on my Dodge Powerwagon and have threatened to put an MSD on it but haven't gotten around to it.
