My 1966 Satellite

Well I haven't got much done on the Satty other then driving the heck out of it still lol and collecting parts for the build. I picked up some Center Line Convo Pro wheels off from Craigslist. What a killer deal that was too. I got 2-15x12" and 2-15x4" for $450 really nice wheels. It also included caps, open ended 1/2" lug nuts and a set of brand new tire screws. I had a brand new set of 325/50 drag radials from another project so I mounted them up! I already measured how much I need to narrow the rear end, need to take 6" out of it. And now I can get the axles ordered too for it. Will be nice to have all the parts here and waiting before I start the mini tubs.

That will be sharp, After my charger is done this would be the next mopar I would want "I love the body lines". Beautiful car and love the color.

Yep the fun will begain as soon as I get moved into the new shop! What a way to break in a new shop, restoring a B-body!!

I think you're going to have to do more than mini tubs for those tires. Was looking to use 10.5W's for my 66 and even those were tight....and then you have to get rid of that danged bulge in the outer wheel house too.

I am interested in this as well. So you're saying that 10.5 is as wide as will fit between the frame and body - is that with tubs or splitting the factory tubs? I am wondering what the widest we can go on a 66-67 and how to achieve it.

From the measurements I have taken so far I will have plenty of room with room to spare. I plan on widening the wheels wells all the way flush with the frame. At least thats what the tape measure is telling me. And I will modify the outter wheels well as much as needed too since it needs replaced anyways. I want to have the car sitting a few more inches lower as it sits now. This won't be my first car that I built around a set of tires :headbang:

Sounds good. We just did some measuring and cutting last night ourselves on a 67 Satellite. From the frame rail to the fender we have 14.5". We have a lot more to go but hoping that a 13.5 tire may fit.

hay all just my 2cents worth a friend has a 69 gtx tubbed and it has 29 tall and 18 wide tires and still has full back seat with room for wider tire and he has 18 gallon fuel cell between the tubs bob
