well bad news the 3rd motor I purchased was supposed to be a running motor well after removing the intake I found a clogged intake port so I pulled off the heads and found a broken piston which left a nasty scar in the cylinder and a bent push rod . just another hiccup to this saga :eusa_wall:
I see a sleeve in your future. Those grooves look probably too deep to bore out. If it was a standard bore block and you went even 0.060 over that only shaves 0.030 off the wall. Those appear deeper then that in the photo but you could take the chance and see if its doable.
I've got to believe there is a cheap poly laying around that big state of texas for ya.
