Looking good Poly, you and Brandon doing some fantastic stuff!

yes i agree i think its the area my car was full of oak tree leaves to bad they didnt have e-coat back then . i am thinking of spraying bed liner in the cowl area any thoughts ?

My entire motor compartment and trunk was sprayed with bed liner, the bed liner will lift after time. Spray it with POR 15 if you want to protect it.

you have some real talent. i wish i had patienence for something like that.
I would get so impatient cuz i want everything done yesterday.
keep up the great work. awesome.

Cabinet looks great. Looks like all the others just made of wood (great idea). Are you using a shop vac to clear out the dust or are you using something else. Keep up the great work and pictures!

thanks good sir i used wood because i had it lying around . i shopped around for blast cabinets 1200 is crazy so i decided to make my own i am going to be using a small shop vac . i found some good ideas for dust collection systems on google images . i picked up the blast gun and pair of gloves just need to wire and plum it and finish the lid with window and a little paint updates to come

Your blast cabnet idea is killer. Keep in mind that some metal dusts explode. With the lights you have I suggest putting something around the lights to keep the dust drom coming in contact with the electrical. You don't want to have an explosion in your cabnet.

Your car is coming along great.

i wasnt sure on the lighting still looking around for something better . still have to build a dust collector system too . its a work in progress .

i got the cowl put back on yesturday it needs some tweeks but it fits ok will post pics in the morning

I'm speechless! Don't know whether to congratulate you or condemn you! LOL! I admire your determination! I was looking for an idea, or goal where you are going with this car, pardon me if I missed it; just what are you making?

The blast cabinet you made has me laughing, not at you, but the determination to build it to fit in with your plans -- sounds terribly familiar! Let me tell you that you may be wasting your $$ and time on that one, perhaps a small cheapo HF sand blaster would be better suited, you look like you can get away with sand blasting there off to the side of your work area, the wooden cabinet you will tear up in no time -- ever see what sand (I am assuming you're using sand) does to wood? There's deals out there for blast cabinets, I scored this one for 500 bucks, redid a few parts, made it prettier, media blasted it, I have a dust collector so using it for this cabinet is working.

I'm following this thread intently!

the idea was to build an 63 altered wheelbase 2 door out of a 4 door sedan as far the blast cabinet goes its a what the hell lets see if it works plus i am gonna line it sheet metal
