My 68 Charger

Can anyone help.I just put in a new underdash harness in my 68 charger and a new ignition switch because someone cut up the old one and had a 69 ignition in it.Now with all the changes the car will start up but dies when you let off the key.Also looks like someone changed the distributor because its not a points type.I may change it back to points and see what happens but I am pretty sure there is one wire I can run or change to fix this problem I just cant remember.They had the larger pink wire spliced and put it on a toggle to use the 69 switch.I am going to restore the car and Im trying to straighten out the electrical.Any help would be awsome.Thanks,Eddie

Replace your ballast resistor. That is a classic description of a failed ballast.
