Hello all,

I have had this car for a few years and decided to strip it down and have a friend paint it. That was 3 years ago and I got it back last Friday.

It started life as a 68 318 Satellite and I am making it into a Roadrunner clone. It was originally FF1 so I went back that route.

I'm working now to get it put back together.

Here is a link to all of the pics along the way.

You did a great job on it, I seen a old Pass-time show that had a 69 RR in it the same color, looks good! And welcome aboard the forum! Lots of great folks here... You might want to head over to the welcome wagon and leave a note (if you haven't yet), im sure there's a lot who will welcome you in, lots of nice 68,69 RR's to join forces with... Good luck in getting her back together, please, keep us updated!

It looks great, the green is a much nicer/classier color than the yellow...

Which engine are you shooting for in the clone?

And...welcome to the site. Cool name you've picked out :)

Thanks it is a 383 that was in it. I cleaned it up, put a different cam in, and had a pair of 516 heads reworked. We will see if it's going to ne good.

It looked like it had been gone through with cross hatches in the cylinders. Three of the lifters in the back were rusty and tough to remove. I used a brake hone and cleaned them a little.

If it has problems I have another 383 with all of the machine work done.

Put new urethane bushings in the rear shackles tonight. Not much fun by yourself and a floor jack. Next step gas tank.

Wow!! you took it all the way down to bare metal and made the body/paint look smooth.Nice work.

I stripped it but my buddy did the body work. He did a great job but it took 3 years!

That is his photbucket site. As I go forward I'm going to try and add pics of my reassembly.

Not much work on the car last night but I hope to get a lot done in the next few days. I am trying to do something every day.
