My 70 SE 500 Charger Rebuild

Wow, nice work! Not sure if I'm up to that level of leather work. Did you buy that one because the diameter of the wheel being similar to what you have or the color? Last question, where did you get the thread of stitching it all together?
I purchased the kit because of the color, but also making sure the diameter was close to the steering wheels actual diameter. It had to be just under a bit because I want it to fit tight once I stretched it.

The kit came with the needles and the thread.

That steering wheel looks great, and the leather will make it much more comfortable to handle than the original hard plastic. Where did you get the kit from?

Thanks. Maybe you can elaborate on the process a bit?
It would be helpful if you explained the process rather than just posting pictures.

Wow, that's one sweet Charger! Excellent work

Once all the parts are de-rusted, wire brushed, cleaned and painted Re-Assembly will be next…

Had to order a new key mechanism. The original one was worn out. I’ll have the new one re-keyed to match the original key.

Stay tuned!!✌️

Been really busy strip parts, painting, re-wiring. Finally things are falling into place. The Charger is starting to look like a car again!!

Is that a 1968 style dash pad? The point in the middle sure is more stylish than the 69-70.

Make sure you clean the paint on your dash where the cluster screws to the dash, otherwise you will have bad grounding, and your gauges will fluctuate. Is that a 69 Woodgrain? 70's are available.
