I haven't posted anything for awhile. Let alone done stuff to the car. Had some issues and lost interest in doing anything on car. The last thing I did was pull the steering column out. Had it rebuilt and restored. Well this past weekend I decided to start working on it again. Got the column in. Steering wheel is a little off going down the road but I am not removing it just to turn the shaft a little. Will worry about that later. I have no more binding while turning. The tight and loose feeling is gone. I Replaced the flashers with heavy duty ones. That was a good upgrade to do. I also started to install the items for the windshield washer system. The jets I got are too small so had to order the correct ones. So after a few issues in my life I'm back. Enjoy some pics

Just so you know you can't just turn the wheel on the column a bit nor can you the column on the steering box. Both have indexed splines and only go on in one position. You can take the coupler apart and rotate the column 180*. If your wheel is off a little bit then take it in for a front end alignment. The adjustment is made with the tie rod sleeves. Just did this to my 72.

I'm going to get new rear springs for it. Then I will get it aligned. It goes down the road straight no wander. I'm thinking of getting springs with a one inch arch. Just don't know if I will need longer shocks. Drive shaft length hopefully will be ok. It feels good to be working on it and driving it again.

Well it's been awhile since I've done anything on the car. So the past few days I started to do a little body work. Working on making patterns for the inner wheel well as well as the quarter panel wheel lip. I started cutting cutting the rust out. This is as far as I got.

Thanks. I've had to cut more out since I took the pictures. There was only a little bit of filler in there. I'm going to work on one panel at a time. The passenger side is so much worse. I wish I could find a whole quarter panel for that side.

Well I've started to work on her again. The panel I've got welded in now was my third attempt. When I went to weld in the bottom of the panel the metal on the upper rocker disintegrated. Well I found out why. Looked like an old repair. Well here are some pictures.

I took pictures of the bends in the rocker. Unsure if these are factory bends or not.

I figured out that whoever did a previous repair just half assed welded a patch over the mangled Sheetmetal. Then they Filled in the holes and gaps with Lead and body filler. If I would have figured out this first I would have done the patch panels differently.

Over the past couple days I welded in the inner lip and outer piece. My welding skills are improving from when I first started.

Spent some time on her yesterday and today.

I painted the area with some touchup spray paint. Then realized that I forgot to drill a hole for the trim screw.

Hello everyone I haven't posted in a while so here are some pictures and a recent adoption. The Plymouth had sat for 3 years the owner said but I think it was longer.
In July the power steering box developed a large leak. On Goldie Locks so I sent it to Firm Feel for a stage II build. I love it. They say to add positive caster to it but I like the way it steers so for now I will leave it. Had to replace the oil filter adapter. No more filter adapter leaks. And some pictures of the adopted plymouth
