I have insomnia real real bad. I thought I might give THC a chance at helping. Colorado was early at making all this legal. I of course tried this stuff in the early seventies but nothing since then. Here's what the store was like. There were quite a few cars in the parking lot. The entrance had a desk behind glass and they wanted my ID which they scanned. I told the lady why I was there and she said to see a "Bud Counselor" inside. It kind of reminded me of a cell phone store. Fancy lighting and nice display shelves. I talked to a guy who was about 45 and he was real nice and helpful. I said I didn't want to smoke anything. After talking for a while I picked out something called Ripple Sleep. 100 mg THC 50mg CBN.

You don't take the stuff off the shelf, that's for display purposes. They only take cash which I figured. I went to a window counter in the back and showed my ID again and paid $21. No sales tax. I think I got 10 doses. I'll try half doses first to see how they work. I'll let you know. As I was walking out I saw a guy walking in with his hoodie pulled up. I'm sure these folks are concerned about anonymity.

Since I don't have to worry about being fired for failing a pee test anymore, I occasionally take a 5mg edible gummy for back pain. I don't believe they actually relieve much pain, but it makes it so that I can fall asleep. Good luck. Hope they work out for you.

Just don't take more than you were instructed... A lot of people don't wait long enough and will take more and trust me... too much is WAY worse than not enough.. (i assume you got edibles) everyone seems to think nothing is happening then double down.. don't :)

Good call on the 1/2 dose. I gave my GF a full 10mg and it was to much for her. Should help you get to sleep for sure.

Kind of a cosby- style form of dosage testing. :D

when I was young, I found that cannabis kinda kept me awake, allowed me to watch 2-3 more hours of movies, or putter in the garage arranging my tools just so. Only afterwards, when I had been awake for hours more, did I find exhaustion to sleep.

So I opened the little tube and there was powder in it. Not enough to split in two. Nothing, no reaction. I felt a little pressure in my brain like a headache. What a waste.

Time to kick it up a notch. Get yourself a medium to large size bong and pack a bowl full. That'll work for sure.

I buy the black goo pure extract CBD that comes in a syringe type dispenser. I try to find a blend of like 75% CBD and 25% THC. Smear a little on an Advil tablet and swallow it quickly so I don't taste it. That has been my sleep remedy that works for the last year or so. It is a little hard to find the CBD extract with smaller percentages of THC at the pot stores because most of the customer base just wants to get high.
Oh and also CBD works wonders on old dogs with arthritis pain, just be sure to get pure CBD with no THC in it at all.

I heard that the Weed Dispensary's have wheelbarrows as loaners......

There are reasons the Medical Industry wants to keep marijuana illegal.

My old Lab was having problems with the pain meds the Vet gave him, was making him puke and he was was not eating. His pain meds were also expensive.

Desperate to help him I tried giving him pet CBD humanesociety.org/resources/cbd-pets , which helped but was more expensive than and did not work as well as hash oil. Weed also worked but you needed to cook it in butter to be able to be digested. zamnesia.com/us/blog-why-how-decarboxylate-cannabis- to be able to be digested.

I’d give it to him when he would be laying there hurting and panting fast. In a half hour his breathing would slow down then he would eat then lay back down by me and let out a big sigh. Was keeping his food down and looked better.

He had been always a pain taking pills and would spit out pills if you tried to trick him by hiding in a snack and had to put in the back of throat and hold mouth shut until swallowed. But he soon was taking the hash happily by itself without hiding it in food.

My Brother-in-Law used to really against weed, and badmouthed Stoners. His mind changed when his best friend's wife was bad off with cancer and losing weight until using edibles helped put it in remission and she is still alive today. He now takes edibles for back pain but still does not smoke it.

Walking into a dispensaries can be overwhelming with all the different strains and products sold. so the bud tenders advice is useful.

Talked with my old buddies about how dispensaries have ruined part of the pothead lifestyle. now you don't have to know and deal with questionable people. Just have to walk into the store instead of wandering around searching, then giving money to someone and wait and hope they don't rip you off or pinch your bag too much.

Kind of miss those days in a way.

It’s legal in NY now. But I don’t get it, it’s a dispensary, so shouldn’t it be free? Bourbon is “dispensed” at a liquor store, and you buy it. So shouldn’t we be talking about “weed stores” instead of “cannabis dispensaries”? Are we trying to put lipstick on a pig?

I've always thought this stuff had to be oxidized... usually by heat, before they are fully psychoactive. This is why some make cookies from the butter, rather than just eating the product directly. THC, for example, is soluble in alcohol. Some drink it. But without the application of heat, before consumption, it's isn't fully working, or something like that.

While l'm no doctor, l have had a run in with insomnia many years ago, horrible experience. Had to go on Ambien for a short time.

If you haven't definitely speak to your DR or get a referral to a sleep specialist, to get to the underlying reason. Talk therapy may be also needed as insomnia is also linked to anxiety and depression.

I wouldn't trust some guy wearing a white coat at a pot store to give medical advice.

I'm against the whole recreational industry but l do believe there are medicinal benefits, Western medicine is relatively new when compared to far eastern medicine or cultures that have 1000s of years of history of herbal medicine.
