well I made my first trip to the nats was an 8.5 hour drive for me
jury is still out not sure if I will make the trip again :edgy:
carlisle is about 3hours from me and my mother in law is 20 mins away so no hotel needed

my son did enjoy the drag races(he is 10)
there was no escape from sun, car show is scattered and swap was OK but smaller than carlisle and mostly in a grassy area carlise in 90% paved
but hey I still enjoyed it Mopars everywhere! :tongueflap:
raining now so I guess the Brice road event is not gonna happen

My first one as well, event was un organized, but was a blast...

I just got Back from my 1st nats trip! I loved every min. of it Brice RD. was awesome and the Sheridan hotel was beautiful Loved the races the cars and the whole experience, swap meet was a little over priced.

got in a 2AM monday morning
trip home wasnt too bad made it back in 8.5 hours
took family to the Columbus zoo on sunday

was there a cruise on Brice road? I went back to my hotel around 3PM and it started to pour around 4 and was raining when I went out for Pizza around 8
what did I miss???

My first trip to the nats as well. Had a great time, the drive was about 3.5 hours for me. I also agree that the swap meet was a little overpriced.

i was cruising in Heath, OH. most people were telling me to go there that brice road was getting pretty much shut down. the weather sucked Sat night but there was still tons of cruising I79 in Heath.....good times.

That was also my first trip to the Nats, it's a 10.5 drive for me. I did have fun going out there, and I did find the things I was looking for in the swap area, so that was a plus. I guess I'm spoiled going to Carlisle, only a 5 hour drive, and to me at least, more organized, with a much bigger swap area. I did find it hard to find a specific model of car though with them randomly parked, instead of in specific classes. I'm curious, does anybody know why they don't park the cars by class? Would I go again? Maybe, but not in the foreseeable future. But that is more because of distance, and what time I can get off. Carlisle I can do in a day if need be, going to Ohio needs at least 3 days, two, just for travel, so that is the main limiting factor.

I agree I had a good time and I guess I too am spoiled with carlisle. it's a 3 hour ride and best part my mother in law lives outside of Hersehy!
definitely more organized at carlise

I will take it over nothing though. Fun event, not to take anything away from it... just room for improvement.
