If you ever, god forbid, get into an accident with the car, finding original parts are near impossible. And if you insure it with an outfit like Hagerty for an agreed value, they will pay you for your own spare parts to rebuild the car.

So you mentioned an extra wing, wing supports, rear glass, fender scoops, and I see an extra nose cone. I see some 70 bucket seats, and what looks like some headlight bucket parts, and other possible parts for it in the last picture. Looks like a gold mine in parts. With the parts you stole it. Do your friend a favor and give it a proper restoration.

I definitely plan on restoring the car best to my abilities. I’ve restored quite a few cars personally so the bird should turn out really good. The plan is to paint the car this winter and have it on the road next summer and once it’s going I plan on taking the car back to the previous owner and taking him for a ride in it. He bought the car and never put a mile on the car! He parked it and covered it with plastic and drywall!! When I first seen the car I didn’t even know there was a car underneath the pile of stuff let alone a Superbird!!

It truly is a dream come true and some times can’t believe I actually own a real wing car! My plan is to try and keep the parts just in case or maybe I’ll use the parts on a clone or if I ever find another bird that’s missing the wing car pieces I will put them to use. I have everything for another car except the wing plug and don’t have extra corner pieces for the vinyl top.

When I finished my Challenger vert I stopped by the previous owners house & tossed hm the keys... He & his wife went basically around the block, he came back & said he was scared to drive it, the restoration was to nice to drive.... That was over 100K miles ago...

Awesome! I own a 68 442 convertible and bought it from a couple who owned the car since 72. Once it was done I stopped by and gave them a ride in it, they really enjoyed it! I bought a 70 Charger R/T SE and my Superbird from the same guy so once they are done I’ll take both cars back and give him a ride and let him drive if he wants.

Good score man! Good luck with your new project. Mike at Dayclona is making the rear corner pieces. There is a pretty nice B5 blue U code 4 speed Superbird for sale on Moparts, with a 110k asking price if anyone else is looking for a Superbird. It's not in my budget now.

My father and I went to get it together and we used to go to shows together. He unfortunately passed away in 1989. Before he passed I made a promise to him I will never sell it unless there were health issues in the family

When I picked up my Superbird I made sure my dad was able to come with along with my brother and my wife. My dad has dreamed of owning one and we’ve always wanted a Lemon Twist yellow car and a four speed and some how I came across one. I can’t wait to get the car on the road and let my dad drive the car and enjoy it. I bought the car and told the previous owner I have no plans of ever selling it and I can’t wait to make memories with my family and the bird.

This car reminds me of a Superbird I saw drive by me in Casper WY during a vacation about 2 years ago. I thought it was maybe this one, but the one I saw was almost all restored except for it was finished in primer. The dude of course was driving it anyways. I'm surprised there are two that close in Wyoming of all places. I guess since Wyoming has such large stretches of straight road and high speed limits, then it is a great place to have a lot of fun with one.

That’s really interesting! I’ve never seen the primered bird in Casper but not saying it doesn’t exist. I know of a Daytona, orange bird and 69 Charger 500 from Casper. Quite a few nice mopars in that area.

It pretty amazing how nice the car is, zero rust most of the body work is done and has new factory correct exhaust on it already. It will be a great car finished.
