my garage rebuild

Great shop!! Awesome floor treatment. Ya gotta make it functional, which you have done.... Gonna follow your shop build!!

Still plugging away trying to get it finished this winter. Insulation is in (R21 walls/R30 ceiling) and I started the drywall today (5/8 firecore):

I can only dream of having my own garage like that. Looks great!

wow that's looking real good

looking great. I see a Harbor freight salvage dry wall lift.

Be careful the brake/ratchet is only there for looks! LOL

Thanks for the kind words everyone! I'm not sure what I hate most, putting up insulation or hanging drywall :cussing:

I borrowed it from a buddy of mine. It's working pretty well so far :eusa_pray:. He said he bought it from Amazon.

Nice! I know how much work it is to do that too! My dad and I built my place in 84. He was 63 at the time. I'm 62 now and pretty much know how he felt and know why he didn't want to get up on top to start the ridge board but he did and once that was done, he didn't go up for anything else lol. Mine is just a straight gable rectangular box with a home built truss roof, 28x52....and wish it was bigger!

Wow, this is going to be more like a house "I'd live in it". Congrats on a beautiful garage.

Looks Great!! That will be/is a great space. I sympathize re: drywall, have done enough over the years that now, if it's more than a patch job, I hire it out. Keep the updates coming!!

LMAO ct71rr ! ! ! I would have to agree with you on that . . . I not sure which I hate more either ! ! !

Hehee, thanks guys. I finished hanging the drywall. Now, I have to wire up the heaters so I can start muding:

that is one nice shop. your doing a awesome job. I'm going to start on mine this coming spring. I just bought the house and it only has a 24x24 garage. going to take it down and put up a 40x36 if the city will let me.

Thanks for the comments everyone! It's been a very long project and I'm trying to get it finished up this winter so I can get back to work on my RR. Got heat! This morning it was approximately 24 degrees outside and 32 degrees in the garage. I turned the heaters on and let them run. About an hour later, I returned to the garage and the temperature was up to 43 degrees. After finishing up some odds and ends for about another hour, the temperature was up to 52 degrees. The outside temperature was about 28 degrees at this point. Pay no attention to the "Outdoor" reading on the thermometer, I haven't placed the probe outside yet and it is reading the inside temp. I am very pleased with the heaters so far. We're supposed to have a fairly mild weekend in the Peoples Republic of Massachusetts so, I'll hopefully get the muding done.

Sweet shop man!!

Those heaters did pretty good, what model/brand are they? I'm looking for new heat in my shop and I think one of those would work great depending on what they cost to run.
