I came across these two items at the flea market today. I have a couple other similar spare key holders, but this is the first one that came with the fake cardboard key.
The key is mysterious to me. It has on it DPCD, so it is obviously has some connection to Mopar. On the other side, you can see Chrysler stamped into it. It doesn’t look like any automotive key I have ever seen. In addition, it has the lock company Yale stamped into it. I have never seen a automotive key with a lock company’s name on it.
Does anybody have any thoughts about this strange key?

I just noticed that the key has been heavily modified. Half of the area above where the peaks and valleys are, was ground down.

It's just a hardware store Yale key. They used to label the blanks for the clerk, to make it easier to find the right one. Instead of a "1024" or a "yzz", they grabbed the one that said "Chrysler" - as in, "fits Chrysler".

Looks like a Chrysler trunk key that's been filed into a knife.
