Name your favorite off brand muscle car

I own my favorite off-brand muscle car, too.

If you were REALLY going to force one on me, I think I could do with a 1970 Torino Cobra with a 429. I wouldn't put up much of a fuss.

I also dig the Aussie 1974 Falcon XB GT, which ironically looks very similar to the Torino Cobra.

Wow, there's a lotta love for the Torino Cobra. Someone mentioned the Holden Torana, that's another top-5 on my list, though I'll never own one up here in Canada. That car just seems to have beautiful but simple lines and perfectly muscular proportions. Honorable mention! It's one of the first cars I bought and modded to be a monster in Forza Horizon 5.

Probably a triple green '70 Buick GS Stage 1 4-speed with 3.23's. Maybe the fastest out-of-the-box muscle car ever. Maybe. I'd still rather have a MoPar!

67 or 68 SS427!
Specific hoods.
Not an Impala!

When I was a kid, a local guy had a 67 SS427 4 speed, he pulled the motor and sold the car.
To this day, both the car and engine remain local, but separated.
Guy with engine will not sell, unless you pay more than the car with the engine.

Both of these 68s are local, I took the pics, both 4 speeds, one is a vert with power windows!

67 and 68 Impala SS 427 cars did indeed have specific hoods for that package only. 67 Impala SS 427 cars had a three port chrome bezel similar to the ones on 68/69 Camaro hoods. Chevrolet had originally planed to offer the 427 tri power engine in the 67 Impala SS 427 cars and the three ported hood was supposed to emulate the triple Holley carbs that were going to be under that hood! The bean counters pulled the plug on the 427 tri power option. The 68 Impala SS 427 cars had a slightly raised hood with a chromed louvered bezel at the back that the standard Impala SS cars did not have.

Had a Spirit R/T after college. Talk about "sleeper"! Stock, 225hp turbo 4. Small computer mods, more boost, change the fuel pressure regulator...350hp, easy. 11 second fwd "granny sedan".

First car I owned at 14, 87 T-Type, blown engine with 20k on the clock. Story was, it was a present for a highschool kid, mom was mad he killed it and took his toy away. My dad bought it for me, we were going to rebuild it, but then the divorce when I was 15, it was at the saw mill we used for years, I guess it ended up crushed. DNR wasn't happy about it not moving, I was long gone and dad said it rotted in the sand. Shame. Ugly color, but cool in its own right.

My friend sold his GNX he bought new with only 8k miles on it a couple years ago. The GNX was fast, but the Hellcat Redeye Challenger Widebody he replaced it with is sick fast!
:(
I don't know if I would make that trade. The new Dodge "muscle cars" don't really do anything for me.

A 10.80 quarter mile ET,with a 203 MPH top end that you can drive across country and back with the AC on works for me!

They're fast, but really too much power for the street. I'm not trying to be the next guy to go viral for wrecking out leaving "Cars and Coffee!"

How about a 429 Cobra Jet Ranchero Squire?

Those Torino's can be bought pretty cheap! There is a decent 71 Torino GT convertible on the local Craigslist for $12,500 asking, been on there for six months.

Honestly I don’t have a particular favorite, I like em all…. So I guess you can say my favorite is whatever I see thats interesting. I like anything rare and unusual
