Hey guys! Something absolutely awful happened to me the night before Thanksgiving. On the way home from band practice, I was forced off the road by an 18-wheeler. I went flying off I-75 at about 70 MPH, took a jump, and landed in the woods.
In my 68 Satellite.
The roof and the entire passenger side of the car needs to be resprayed, in addition to the body work needed to fix all of those panels. Also, the oil pan was so crushed it actually folded in upon itself.
I am now going to change the color. No more Plum Crazy. I am going to go completely off the old school deep-end with a red, white and blue paint scheme. Kind of Sox & Martin inspired, but not the same. Mine will have stars!
I am doing a photoshop mockup on Wednesday, and the one angle I cannot find is one that is looking down on the car from above. It doesn't necessarily need to be looking straight down, but as close to that as I can find, the better. I can't use mine for the picture, for obvious reasons.
I already yanked the engine and stripped down the nose today, and will have to be totally sure of what color I will be painting the car so I can shoot the engine compartment and window channel before Safelite comes on Dec. 7 with the new windshield. Do any of you have an aerial picture of a 68 or 69 Plymouth B body? It doesn't matter if it has a vinyl roof or not, as I can take care of that in photoshop. A car with a 6 pack hood would be nice, but I can add that in photoshop as well, if need be.
Does anyone feel up to parking their b body right in front of their house, and taking a picture from the second story window? Or from a tall ladder?
I would need the pic to be large. A full size digital camera shot would be best. It would make for a large file, but that is okay.
