I have a 1970 383 thinking of new aluminum intake and aluminum heads. It has a little bigger cam with stock heads now. I have air grabber hood so I can’t go any higher then the aluminum DP intake I have now. What heads and intake combination would you guys suggest

Not nearly enough info. Stealths have a factory look. What intake do u gave now? What carb? Headers? Ignition factory or performance? Just a street car? R u getting better rockers or? Kim

I have a 680 brawler carb. Putting Doug headers have a MSD billet distributor with 6AL box. It has factory heads cam is comp cam hydraulic duration intake 268 exhaust 280 valve lift intake is 0.477 exhaust 0.48 valve timing @ 0.006 lift exhaust closes 26 ATDC opens 74 BBDC intake opens 28 BTDC closes at 60 ABDC

Which intake r u using? Factory rockers and pushrods? I would do the Stealths if u want the factory look. Or Edelbrock has a street/economy head. Also probably upgrade to a 750 carb. Can u tune a carb and timing? What’s your timing curve like? Kim

With hood clearance being the limiting factor and not knowing what compression ratio you currently have but guessing it is a bit low, I'm going to suggest closed chamber heads of whatever brand you choose to bring compression up a bit and a cam with duration @ .050 less than 230 or you will be over cammed. I believe a standard Edelbrock Performer is at or near factory height as far as hood clearance goes.
