All I need to finish it is the custom length cables, and 3" open primary set-up. If you saw the bike in real-life, you would say it NEEDS a 3" open primary drive to look right

In order to replace the control arm bushings you're gonna have to take the ball joints loose. (upper from the spindle, lower from the control arm) So with that in mind, you're only another 4 bolts (and one nut) per side away from replacing the ball joints anyway.

Go for the rebuild kit! But first buy a Mopar Chassis manual P44552791 if you do not already have one. You mentioned that you are looking to learn some about the front of your car. You will spend hours with this book before you even turn a wrench on the car. The front suspension section goes through a bit of the theory behind Chrysler front ends and the rest of the book, although some parts are a bit dated, is full of great stuff! If you are the type of owner who really wants to know it all for your mopar, consider getting a reprint of a factory shop manual for your model. If you are a DIY guy, you will love the manual. You will be freeing up those eccentric bolts in no time! Hopefully they are not permanently stuck. Enjoy! http://www.gregsonline.com/eshop/Dodge/73DSMC.htm
