NENDRA 2011 1st race this Saturday 4/30/11

You need to control your THROTTLE foot a little better! The brakes work FINE.
You get too AMPED up!!!

After losing in the 2nd round to Bruce Sessions I'm now 0 and 4 against him. We had a double breakout pass, staring at each other waiting to see who was gonna dump who at the stripe.

you might be right on the amped up thing!
dont feel bad i'm 1 win and 3 losses to bruce.i definitely enjoyed the heads up race with dan with the 69 yenko camaro. both of us with a 9.05 dial in.

just wanted to share the biggest longest wheelstand i have ever done. scraped the rear bumper past the 60 foot lights. after this pass i tightened up the extention on the front shocks, i needed to win this race not put on a show.
someone else got the video from the front just waiting to get it.

Here's an in car video with the gopro video camera of the bumper scraping wheelstand. now i need a little fiberglass work on my rear bumper. im fining tuning the 65 dodge and trying to find the sweetspot where my 60 foots are realistic yet manageable.

I got the wheelie problem solved. i just now loosened the frontend a tad bit more so i can get 2 feet of air and keep it controlled.
Can't wait till next weekend!!!
Don't think i willbe using this dialin anymore!!!!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Now Im jealous I am going to miss milans first heads up night.I planned on running open comp and was going to run pro at the mopower events.I should have the car back together and tuned hopefully by the first mopower event.

My car by no means is awesome. It was a true picked over parts car that I used all the left over parts I had laying around to build. The first pic is when I picked it up.The short block was picked up for 200.I added my crank and had the cylinders touched up with the deck cut to my specs.I built the trans nothing fancy, rear out of my demon 4.30,I built custom floors, rebuilt fr end, added disc brakes, will flat black it with vinyl wrap down the sides. It makes a great bracket car it will run 11.20@120mph all day long even in severe weather changes.I have gone 10.77@124mph it still has a little in it.It was something to keep me racing until I finish my demon. Now I'm hooked on the old b bodies and want more.Somebody took the 65 coronet I wanted!!The other pics were of the maiden voyage.Howell,Mi was the testing grounds for the car.I feel bad for my nieghbors, not really:bootyshake::bootyshake:

Chris who has the 65 Coronet behind you? Just my opinion but the 65's don't look good with those scoops.

I am not clear on the NENDRA rules: Chris how is it that you raced a much slower car heads up. I thought you guys had indexes?

I wasn't sold on the NENDRA style of racing at first. I was more into a pure NSS race but the more I see all of the racers and cars I am beginning to like it. As long as it didn't get watered down with Mustangs and Camaros I wish we had that kind of group of racers around here. No one take my comment of a pure NSS style race as a insult. That was not my intent. I was meaning that you guys let in a few more makes/models of cars. THAT WAS ALL.

we do bracket dial in racing. i just had a heads up race in the semi finals with a yenko camaro since we both dialed in the same.

We have a guy at out local track that has an mid 80's Vette. He bought the car new and has raced it since. He cuts crazy lights and is always the guy to beat in the bracket series. Many a guy red lights against him also.

Killer photos. Either you broke out by a hugh amount OR that Yenko needs to change his dial in. YOU SMOKED HIM!!!!!!
