New 2025 Charger release video just posted

It has to cost more since it weighs more. :p

While the 2023 Charger R/T and Scat Pack started at $46,660 and $53,520, respectively, the EV versions are likely to be considerably more expensive. We think Dodge will price the 2024 R/T closer to $60,000 and the 2024 Scat Pack closer to $70,000.

They really went for it on the EV top speed!

Hope that isn’t correct lol

Current (Amperage) is torque.
Voltage is speed.

They better go with a higher voltage architecture. :p

Fratzonic Chambered Exhaust

No trust here. Maybe the real purpose is to disguise some undesirable noises from the electric motor(s) and/or driveline heard from outside and inside the car?

Active Vibration Enhancement (AVE)

No trust here. Maybe the real purpose is to disguise some undesirable vibrations from the electric motors(s) (e.g., motor cogging) and driveline felt inside the passenger compartment?

Marketing and Engineering Deception at its finest.:p

Uncle Tony has opinions on it.

I've driven 134 mph only once in my life and likely won't ever come close to that speed again. To me, acceleration is more important than speed I won't use.

I still won't be getting one though, and wouldn't pay that much for it.

One if my neighbors recently purchased an ev. I think it's a Volvo but am not sure. Damn thing wakes my *** up EVERY day as it passes my house. They commute very early. It produces this "whirring" sound that is (to me anyway) extremely unnerving and spooky. Not sure if it is by design or a natural byproduct but it actually makes me wake up anxious ... wierd.
I hear it coming blocks away, makes me think of George Jetson on his way to work!

Well that sucks. If I owned a EV I would have to have the Jetsons car noise.

I've been in few different EVs. Tesla, Mach-E, and a Cadillac. The Tesla and Mach make a slight whine, but very low level not annoying to me. The Cadillac makes a louder, very annoying noise at low speed. I guess it is intentional, for safety.

They were thinking about making fake exhaust noises for EVs years ago.

I never thought of the increase in tire wear from the EVs being 1/3 heavier but it is a factor. Tire and brake dust increase exponentially.

And EVs have instant torque delivery. That in combination with the increased weight on tires makes them wear out faster than normal cars. I've heard the EVs will wear out tires 20% faster
