I don't see anything wrong with the looks of it. If I were in the market for a new commuter car I would consider it. How many of us that put say 20K miles a year on a car are driving our 10-12 MPG cars everyday? Very few if any I would wager. Face it guys with $5 per gallon fuel on the not too distant horizon, our cars a turning into luxury items that even some of us who own them can no longer afford to enjoy the way we would like! A sporty little car, no matter what it is called, that has some visual apeal, will hopefully keep Ma Mopar in business and allow the brand to continue. We all screamed for years after the new Chargers came out we wanted a 2 door RWD, they gave us the Challenger. I wanted one, but not for $30K and up! If I got one, between fuel and insurance I couldn't afford the 2 B-Bodies anymore. Now lets see a modern version of the SRT-4 Neon, those little cars are a blast to drive , even with 4 doors!

Well i think it looks alright, too many computers for me though. And i agree with a lot of the guys on here, i'd rather have 2 doors than 4. But i just don't think there's any market anymore for a 2 door car with 4 door room.
A lot of people were upset about the new Charger having 4 doors, but honestly, i don't think it would have lasted more than a year in 2 door form. People want the convenience of 4 doors.

I say, "Go Dart!" Because in the end, no matter how many doors it has, at least it's not a CHEVY!

I think people that are performance oriented/minded seem to forget the 4dr. platform out sells the 2dr. platform probably 5 to 1 or maybe even more {I have no facts to back it up, just common sense}, much more sales potential, for medium income families & 4dr. family cars vs the performance oriented cars towards either youth or middle aged men type 2dr. HT/sport coupes/performance cars... It all comes down to profit & sales #'s...

Bud is right. Not too many folks scream about 4-door performance BMW's or Benz's! Ford is making a killing with the Focus, Chrysler must counter. So what if they used a name that your kids probably never heard of! Don't let nostalgia cloud your vision. This is a marketing decision, and Dart IS a good name for a modern, nimble, car.

Well the good news is we can all agree to disagree :) I will have to just suck it up and welcome a new Chrysler on the market, at least they are doing it and just maybe some of the youngsters will start to wonder where the dart or MOPAR first started and get into reading up on it and finding all of our pics then start wondering about the classics? One can dream right?

I think we all need to realize the smaller car market now a days dictates lower price tags, sporty styling and exceptional fuel economy.

The target audience for the Dart is youth with little money to spend on things like gas. Not the older muscle crowd and its not meant to mimic the old dart in styling..But it has the same target audience :binkybaby: now as it did then....just a new approach for a new market in a new age.
