New England Front End Alignment Specialist - Please Help!

Hello B Body Tribe:

Running Good Year Polyglas F70-14s, I need a reputable front end alignment shop in New England that knows how to properly align a 1971 road runner. When I purchased the car 3 years ago I had a referred guy replace worn items then he sent it for alignment - after 10,000 miles the front tires were completely bald on the inside edges. I was prepping for 2022 Carlisle 420 mile road trip (avoid highways from Worcester, MA) so swapped the rear and front. Then took it to Sullivan tire in Worcester, MA (local mechanic said they are the only place that can do my car) and after 2 hours and $200.00 my right front tire is ruined (bald on the inside edge). I purchased 4 new Good Year Polyglas F70-14s (very expensive $315 to $370ea up $100 from 3 years ago) and I want them to last as long as possible (not counting burnouts!)

The car drives straight, doesn't pull however I noticed after 2nd alignment when I go over a rise in the road I can hear some faint tire squeal while cornering.

They are supposedly a good shop....
I can not understand how someone can not align the front end properly

Check your lower control arm bushings before you do or go anywhere. your alignment is only as good as your front end condition. some shops will do an alignment regardless if there is worn parts or not. if they are not familiar with old mopar front suspensions they may mis a worn part and do an alignment. needless to say its not right. It may drive straight but will wear the tires prematurely. good luck.

Camber or toe will cause excessive inside wear, as well as ... worn parts. All wearable parts must be addressed, then a proper alignment beginning with the proper ride height adjustment.

I get it - no worn parts per alignment shop and MA inspection - they raise the car and check for worn components. Just need a proper alignment! Who knows a shop near Worcester, MA?

The car alignment wise is decent. If you have worn parts, bad shocks, etc. they need to be taken care of.

The "current" alignment specs you posted are not the cause of your tire wear. The "before" alignment specs would cause tire wear.

And yet here we are.....As for MA state inspection, well lets just say right off the bat I wouldnt trust ANY state employee to tell me the condition of my front end on anything. You need a new machanic and competent shop that can align an early 70s mopar. That is for sure. Sorry I cant pick a shop for you in Mass but If you come to south fla. look me up. Again good luck
