I think what i decided was this:
Eddy E street heads with 75CC chambers, that should bump my compression somewhere between 9.5 and 10. Which is good, i can still run 93 pump gas
The nice part about this is, my manifolds will bolt up, and i can reuse my cam for temp also
Then i can still enjoy the car, when i have the money, get headers, enjoy the car......save up money, new cam, enjoy the car
This way the car isnt out of commission for along period of time and i can enjoy it as i save up for the next mod
eventually the 440 will have e street heads with 75 cc chambers
lunati 268/276 cam
TTI headers
It has a holley 750 carb now and a eddy intake (not rpm, but thats ok for now)
This combo will also be brake friendly with plenty of vacuum. It wont be a huge HP motor, but it will make enough to put a smile on my face. A good cruiser that is very streetable, but should be fun for a few runs down the 1/4 mile
I was told with proper tuning that combo should be in the 450 plus when all said and done. I dont need that much honestly, but its nice to know i can go that way if i want
My goal is before i add alot of power, to upgrade brakes and suspension.
My goal is to give the car a little boost in performance, it runs strong but seems lazy off the line....30mph + it pulls very very well
what do you guys think? I figure this isnt cheap, but i think it beats pulling the motor again, and throwing away most of the 1 year old parts i bought last summer
I will get the performance I want, reuse parts so i can enjoy the car while saving up
I think its the best route for me....1 step at a time....
