Bud...thanks...going on a lightening program this winter. Pin On Glass Hood will save about 40lbs over my current fiberglass hood that is hinged and very heavy. Going with aluminum bumper brackets and some other things. I hope to lose 150lbs total to put me in the 9.99s. I cant make more horsepower because I am on the LIMIT horsepower ( I figure about 740 or so) that my stock 440 iron block will handle even though I have a steel billet girdle and steel billet main caps.

Come on. Push that iron beast another 100 HP.

This run is when I dialed at 10.17 and ran a 10.170 with a .010 lite. That was the season points leader I took out on that run. Won by .0036.
Now that"s a race. .0100 pac to a .0136 pac. Nice run
Doug

Looks like you’ve had a lot of fun this year, Mike. Loved the video, those are the moments we do it for.

Wookie...my estimated 725 to 740HP is MAX for my 440 iron block, even with steel billet girdle and steel billet main caps
I WANT TO KEEP MY BOTTOM END INTACT.
.LOL..
I have to go lighter for a 9.999 time slip. As mentioned before my coronet weighs right at 3800 with me a 5 gal gas.

Sounds like excuses to me LOL.
Your probably more wise than me.

That thing needs a diet. There's over 400lbs waiting to fall off retaining all steel body parts including bumpers. Actually closer to 500lbs with a stock block.
