Dual master cylinder and buff out engine compartment .
haha yeah the engine compartment needs some serious help...as does most of the car. The car was Zierbart undercoated way back when...what a mess that crap is now, i think eventually it made the car rust worse underneath as it started to peal and the moisture was trapped against the metal. Also there is some over-spray in the engine compartment and not sure how much that will come off...we'll see when I get there. Dual master cylinder is for sure in the plan before too long.Dual master cylinder and buff out engine compartment .
If you have 4 wheel drum brakes just hit the parts store for a 67 Satellite master with manual drum brakes.
BTW- car looks mighty fine and seems to be coming along quickly.
---another thing- I case you didn't notice, the rear wheel wells get quite a bit narrower as the wheel travels up into them, with a pronounced inverted ledge on the outside.
This is the real limiting factor for wheel width.
Yeah I was looking at that...I made some cardboard cutouts to simulate the new tires...it's going to be very close. I have the same type of tire on the GTX and they are slightly narrower overall than the online spec suggested....so I'm hoping that's the case with these as well. Should know next week.BTW- car looks mighty fine and seems to be coming along quickly.

Last on I bought and seen was a $65 item, and that was 15 years ago...and keep close watch on that gas cap.
High theft item.
For sure! Just let me know. I bought an '88 Conquest last week, so now I have my time split between 3 projects I'm debating swapping the 5.7 hemi into the Belvedere instead of the GTX and then building a stout big block for the GTX.I hope to join you in Lincoln next summer with my 66 Satelllite, also red. Yours looks great.
