welcome to FBBO... I say keep it a 1969 Road runner, or sell it & get a 1970 RR if that's what you like better, instead of messing up a decent restorable/useable 69 RR... I'm on my 13th 68-70 RR's currently... I actually prefer the 1968's myself, but I also use cues from all three years in my cars too, but leave the body lines alone for the most part, other than Bucket seats, custom gauges, the 69-1/2 A12 hood {only body mod} & 479ci/6bbl engine {383-6bbl wasn't ever offered} many other performance day two type Mods, electronic ignition, rims tires etc. & 70 Coyote Duster 6bbl Air Cleaner on mine, when I put my shifter in & remove the column shifter, I will probably modify a 1970 Pistol Grip shifter handle & grip, to put on my Quicksilver Ratchet shifter.... Kind of the best of all three years... I know some purist will absolutely hate it, but I don't really care, I build the cars for me not anyone else...
