Got my press together and pushed the pivot pin in. I need an experts opinion on if this pin is in right. This is my firsttime working on a M 001.jpg002.jpg003.jpg004.jpg005.jpgopar front end

I think the "shoulder" on the pin is supposed to be against the inner bushing sleeve.

Be careful as it's possible to push that inner sleeve farther into the bushing.

Are you doing one side at a time?

If so, use the other side for reference.

According to the shop manual, bushing should first be pressed on shaft then the whole assambly pressed into LCA. That's the way I did it, using a bit of a pipe outside the shaft so the press hit the bushing flange.

you are correct sir!

Doing one side at a time. I will do other side the way you all said. I should have asked first. My bad Thanks Do you think I should take it apart and press a new bushing onto the pivot pin and then press into control arm. Or do you think it will be ok?
