It's hard to tell in your pic, but will the 8 1/2" wheels in the back rub if the body is compressed?
It seems like the backspacing on the 8" wheels is too much, and the backspacing on the 8 1/2" is too little.

Coronets have a ton of wheel well space. Even with 275 60 tires I have two inches around the quarter and have a inch from the top of the lip. The 8.5 wheel really worked out well on the rear. You could never put this wheel and tire on a chevelle.
