3:55 good on the highway?

Welcome and GREAT score! I've said it numerous times, '68's are my favorite! FYI, I also went with 3.55's in my rear. Can't complain. I like to cruise as well as not to lose! Enjoy!

What is your transmission setup? I have 3:73's ready to go in but I don't think they are ready for the highway driving that I want to do with it. Are 3:55's Ok for the highway? I am taking this car on the Hot Rod Power Tour and want the right Highways gears for the trip. 90% of the time it's going to be driving over 60 mph so I want to make sure I have a gear that will be suitable for this kind of cruising.

Head was yanked,

Please do yourself a favor, Pull the head and drill and tap for the Helicoil in a drill press. The hole has to be lined up very close, or you won't be able to get the bolt in the hole! Also, do you want to risk chips in the cylinders? Beautiful car! Godd luck and enjoy it.

Gday!
Yeah I yanked both heads. I found issues with the passenger side and decided that I should go over both of them. So The helicoil was done on the bench and I'm replacing all the bolts along with a few Valves some seats, arms and rockers. Manifolds have been planed and sandblasted. I'm taking those up to the Ceramic coater today. Hopefully this car will be going back together next week. :headbang:

Sherman right here in Warren stocks all the parts for the Charger so I'm not too worried about finding sheetmetal. My car looks to be in the same shape as yours and I would like to keep it that way. really nice Bee! Great paint! And I would have a hard time being calm after being hit. These cars are our loves.
