NFL Is Here!!! Let The Smack Commence!

Long Live The Snake!!! My all-time favorite.
Amen to that note, mine too, pretty damn good @ Bama too {I'm no Bama fan either}
along with Stanford man, Jim Plunkett {2 Super Bowl wins & #1 over all draft pick 1971}
or Tom Flores Raider QB Player under Al Davis coaching,
than 1st Minority Head Coach hired & then to win 2 Super Bowls

IMO 2 other guys who should be enshrined in the HOF, right now not later...

Go Raiders

Wife, Packers.
Me, Skins.
We should do well this year, bewhaaahhhaaaaa!!

Looking forward to the new dome, go Vikings!
They played soccer in it yesterday. I guess they drew 60k for the game. I have a friend that went and he said the place is just massive. They have a huge, huge Megatron. The Vikes play the Packers in there first game of the season - at home. Looking forward to that one. Hope it's on TV. Skol!!!!

Did anyone notice the slanted commentaries during the Raiders at Cardinals game? The whole game all I heard was how great the Cardinals are but the depth of the Raiders during the blowout should have been the story. I know it's pre-season NFL but how about a little respect for the hated RAIDERS!!!!!!

Go Raiders,
{Ducks} Marcus Mariota/Tenn. looked good against my Raiders
so I'm a bit torn
Still would rather see Oakland win, they could have done better
need to stop the run, pass defense could be better too...
Still improving, have to play people & situation they wouldn't
normally play in real games, wonder if they are holding back,
so as to not show their hand/cards too...

I will be in Nashville 9/25 to see the Raiders avenge their loss.

Romo is another one that should get out while the the gettin's good. All the Cowboy fans are pissed at Cliff Avril who barely hit him while going for the ball after Romo took off running. If he can't take a little shot like that one, he shouldn't be playing JMHFO.
Yep time to retire Tony...

Vikings are looking good at 3 - 0. Bridgewater is coming along nicely. Still doesn't show any long ball potential - but you can still win with 30 yarders. Got a good look at the Vikes second stringers in Sunday's game against the Chargers. I get to see them again on Thursday night against Rams. I expect them to walk home with the game and make a clean sweep on the preseason.

Preseason doesn't count for much, doesn't mean chit now...
It's the score when the 1's & when the 2's playing with the 1's that count...
The rest is just playing people to see depth or try them in a different spot,
see who makes the team, rarely does anyone who wins all or
a majority of the preseason games, do chit, in real games/season...
Just means they don't play their depth chart, getting them live game experience...
Those teams usually don't fare well at the end of the season,
when they need them back-ups to play...
Even could be bad or selfish coaching, narcissism or
not playing people they'll ultimately end up being cut,
all because, the need to win in pre-season, IMO it' really
hurts the guys that need to be seen & to make Practice Squads
of theirs or help them to make other teams...
They just use the guys as practice dummies...

I'd like to see a 60 man roster & an 11 man Practice Squad rosters too...
IMO the 53 & 10 now, isn't enough players today, hell spread the wealth,
it'd employ 8 more people on each team too, have better depth,
maybe less season ending or career ending injuries too...

Not be paying these QB or whomever $10-$15 million+ a year,
spread that out more, still could be under the $154 Million team cap....

Experimentation is Preseason &
I can't wait for the real season to start/real games,
real playing the starters, until you get a huge lead...

My $0.25 cents

Yeah - but if you have a relatively new QB you get him some reps in the games and get a good look at progress before the season.

That's my .50

Packers fan, here, but still sorry to see that it looks like Bridgewater is lost for the season. We know the feeling - we lost Jordy last year.
