NFL Is Here!!! Let The Smack Commence!

As much as I like the Steelers, I would like to see the Chiefs go to the Super Bowl! I felt the same for the Raiders!

But smack is smack, so who cares who goes, long as we see a good Super Bowl!

More smack! :)

It looks like the Chargers are out of San Diego. They are basically moving because the taxpayers in SD didn't want to build a free stadium for a team that hasn't performed well for a few years and has a billionaire owner. That may be an oversimplification but that's what it looks like from the outside. I just don't see how having two so-so teams in LA is good for the league, but we'll see. My son-in-law was a huge Chargers fan but even he has given up on them.

Taxpayers should never be on the hook for any sports team.

I agree but unfortunately the cities that except this burden see it as revenue. Of course Jerry Jones was already rich but he got richer by having the citizens of Arlington pay for 1/2 the stadium.

I don't think the Chargers should go to LA. We'll see if they can support the Rams. Since 1960 LA has had the Rams, Raiders and Chargers and lost them all. One at a time of course and now they'll support 2 teams? Don't see it happening. Bet one team is gone within 4 years. Meanwhile since 1960 Mile High as been all but sold out with about a 10 year wait for season passes.

I'd have to take a 2nd mortgage out just so my family of 4 could see an NFL game at a stadium.

Wow since Kubiak decided to retire the Broncos have got though a complete coaching change up. You peeps out in L.A. take good care of o' Wade. He knows his ****. Sad to see him go but happy to get Bill Musgrave back, sorry Bud. He's a home boy. Grew up here in Grand Junction and was the star QB in high school and college here. Got McCoy back from the Chargers.
Even through I grew up as a Raider hater, all in fun, I still felt bad for how their season ended.
I wouldn't be surprised if GB got out of Dallas with a win this weekend.
Oh and go Houston.

it is the biggest case of grift ever in this country!
poor billionaire sports owner needs welfare for a stadium. boo hoo
San Diego did the right thing
good riddance, the team sucked any way
and they will suck in their new home also

Looks like the Chargers will be temporarily playing at Stub-Hub Center in Carson Ca. a stadium that has a 30,000 capacity. High school teams play to bigger crows than that. But then maybe some high school team could beat the Chargers LOL. I can see the fans in LA supporting the Rams because they have some history there, but the Chargers don't really have a fan base there. It'd be pretty embarrassing not to be able to fill a small stadium like Stub-Hub. We'll see what happens.

We'll see what happens - all the haters are out in force. LA is definitely a fair weather fan town. The only team they get raucous about is the Lakers. Now the Clippers are giving them a go as the Lakers are in a full rebuilding g mode.

I don't think the Rams were that well supported back in the day so I'm not sure about the Chargers here either. But I say give them a chance. There's $ and 2 mediocre teams - but 20 million fans to support them. Let's see what happens before you count them out for eternity. I lived in Denver for 10 years so I'm a die hard Bronco fan - but Colorado is a different market with surrounding g states to support them. Not at all the same deal.

L.A. doesn't care
there is too much else to do there going on.
they barely cared about the lakers and that has come and gone.
people forget why teams left there in the first place.

"They barely cared about the Lakers" - you obviously don't know, this town my friend. People are Laker fanatics around here - and by the way the hockey teams are well supported here too. I've lived here for 25 years. I know the drill.

what i meant is they will only really care when they are any good
not so much when they aren't.
when the nba team is the most popular one tells you something
its just not a rabid sports town compared to others.
if it was, the teams would of never left in the first place.
the market of people has always been the largest out there.
