Exactly!! They still play like that! It was Ryan as their defensive coordinator that dreamed up the scheme - got suspended for a season and then fired. He's somewhere else now but seems like the Saints D still plays that game. That was a good start to the season - hope they can keep,it up. The Steelers will be a definite test to that.

Here's my take........
The NFL has a "Code of Conduct" policy which they pick and choose to enforce. While in uniform, they represent the team they play for and the NFL. So here's my proposal....

Any player, coach or staff member of the NFL that chooses to sit durning the National Anthem will be subject to the following-10k fine payable by the next game, also suspended for that days game and the next, the TEAM is fined 10 million payable by the next game and that money will go towards helping domestic violence victims, those affected by natural disasters and homelessness.

If caught doing it a second time, the punishment doubles.

I'm so sick of these SOB's pulling this stunt when the men and women of our Armed Forces lay it on the line everyday to protect their right to be disrespectful!!

Made the players take a stand, got the owners involved, got the NFL to make a statement, pissed off Steph and LeBron....and used the resultant anger of 100 million Americans angry at these "overpaid flag hating athletes" to get them to fall in behind him and scream bloody murder.

Who cares about the failed Obamacare vote now, who cares about Russia, who cares about the special prosecutor? Who? What?

The sad thing is when he is gone (and it won't be long now), things won't return to normal. He has done lasting damage.

Let's see......NASCAR all teams stand for our National Anthem, but in the NFL it's perfectly acceptable to kneel, sit, ride a stationary bike, not come out of the locker room and bad mouth the Flag and what represents?

Mr. Gorsky, I take great offense to this and your statement! These professional athletes make a huge amount of money in the "land of opportunity", and it pisses me off that I sacrificed my body, for paultry pay mind you, just so these guys can exercise the right to do as stated above!
