Oakland & LA Raider, Ray Guy, best punter ever, only the second kicker to enter the HOF, changed special teams for ever, he was an all around great athlete, he was the emergency QB too, former Raider makes it even much better...LOL, he has finally gets in the "NFL Hall Of Fame"

I wonder when Jim Plunket, with 2 Super Bowl wins & a Heisman Trophy & #1 overall pick in the NFL draft, Super Bowl MVP, when will Jim finally get the nod, he has far better credentials, than many mediocre/average players, that are in the Hall already, many were 1st ballet guys even, seems like more of a popularity contest today, than who's actually deserving...

It's been long enough, give him what he's due...

Life long Viking fan - you guys should bless me for that cause of all the Super Bowl losses. Hoping the draft did them some good in the QB neighborhood.

My second team - everyone should have a second team is the Broncos. Been a lover ever since I moved there in 81. During the Elway years. Loved them ever since. Really glad they landed Manning. Stunned by last years SB loss to the Hawks. Go Broncos!

For or the raiders guy - heard they may be moving to San Antonio. Change of scenery may do them some good. Nothing else seems too...... Did I say that?

The Raiders are too rowdy for this town. And we are spoiled by the Spurs winning all the time. After two losing seasons the fan base would fall hard.

yeah poly to get the Alameda County/Oakland "powers to be" to approve the new stadium proposals to have a stadium, separate from the A's, both are in the works... allegedly

Thursday night's Seahawk's first pre-season game isn't going to mean squat in the big scheme of things.........BUT, should be a fun game to watch none-the-less......

However, when Denver comes to Seattle on Sept 21, I'm pretty sure that game is going to count.

Jets beat Indy
SD beat Dallas
Washington beats NE

I can't wait to see my Raiders tonight...

Bears won 34-28 over Philly, interesting game
Didn't see these yet;
Buffalo 20-18 over Carolina, not what I thought it would have been
Atlanta 16-10 over Miami
Jacksonville 16-10 over Tampa Bay, kind of shocked by that one
NO 26-24 over St.Louis, looks like the Rams may be getting better too

granted it's 1st game preseason too

That 10-6 score is deceptive, it could have been way worse, if the Vikings could have capitalized on the penalties/opportunities & Raiders lame mistakes, even thou the Raiders did actually out gained the Vikings in the second half & overall total yards...

Some nobody kicker {not SeaBass} missed a 40 something yard FG, could have made it closer score too...
Missed 2 point conversion also didn't help...

I didn't think the run defense, was very good at all,
Vikings ran all over them, especially up the middle, 127 yards rushing...

Pass defense looked promising thou...

Special teams allowed allot of return yards too...

I know a few key offensive penalties against the Raiders of course, always in 1st down scenarios it seems, defensive penalties always at a time where it would have stopped them on 3rd down, giving the Vikings another 1st down, really hurt them...

Vikings had the ball for almost 36 min. compared to Raiders almost 25 min...

No discipline at all, like the last 12 or so years, pisses me off...
I'm still not sold on Dennis Allen's leadership/coaching abilities or Reggie McKennsie's Management skills & getting key veteran players with great skills...
Hell they had like $60 million salary cap $$$'s freed up, to use this year...

Rookie ILB Mack, Vets Free agents MJD & Justin Tuck, looked pretty darn good thou...

Still too many dropped or missed passes too, still don't have any stand out receivers to throw to "yet", or that actually "catch the ball", but the passing game did look a little better thou...
Shaub looks OK it's still early, McGloin looked the best of the 3 QB's, but was playing against 3rd stringers too,
Carr looks like he can be a good backup...
