Very cool,that car works,it gets it done! I miss my 70 V code,4 speed N96 Road Runner!

The 440 Sixpack engine is a formidable engine package especially with the aftermarket cylinder heads that flow so much better than the factory heads do. We found a picture of my friends 440 Sixpack Challenger R/T running 11.78 back in the day with little modifications from stock.

Interesting the way he preloads the shifter before every shift.
I noticed that too!! That's the first vid of that that I've ever seen....
By a LOT.
I would be afraid of mine jumping out of gear.
But who knows what his setup is.
Can’t tell if he’s using the clutch to shift
The only 10 second 4 speed car that I drove was still using a Hemi box with a 3 puck clutch, a heavy flywheel and a Vertigate. It was sweet but didn't preload the shifter at all.

I don't get how the trans stays together with that kinda shifting... seems smooth though, and i'm betting the preloading is to take out any variation in the shift time, keep it consistent

I don’t know what NHRA Stock rules allow for transmissions.
I’m actually surprised he’s allowed to use a Black magic clutch, that’s way far from stock.
Most of the guys I see running 10s and under these days are using G-Force or Liberty transmissions and shifting clutch-less.
But I haven’t been around class racers at all.
