FOR SALE NICE 62 Chrysler Newport, 69,000 miles!!!

NICE, big block, push button trans, new exhaust and tires. EVERYTHING works. Even the original tube radio. It has sat since 2009 and needs the brakes bled and a minor tune up. It runs great, great heat. Great car to cruise in. 4,500/trade/offer. I have new carpet for it in the trunk. Rest of interior is nice. Don`t really know what these are worth.

Big Block...361, 383, 413??? I posted this on FCBO to see if there is any interest. More photos would be a big plus...engine bay, interior, trunk and any bad places on the body. Need your inspection comments on the frame and other general areas too. Value is whatever the market will bear.

I looked on the front pad and couldn`t find it. I know it isn`t a 413 as it is a 2 bbl. Body and frame are solid. Floor in front has had a few small patches. Trunk has a few small areas. Very solid car for 51 years old.

Pass fender down low had a patch. That is all I could find on the body and a magnet still sticks to the repair. If it would ever stop RAINING here as it has since Wednesday and supposed to continue all the way until next Sunday I would take it out and get more good pics. Sun? What sun?

That is what I assumed. I listed it as a 361. Aren`t all low deck engines marked on that pad?

Yes, B engines have the pad right by the distributor. You may have to clean some grease/grime away to see it. RB had a pad on the right side of the front opposite the dist. In 62 it should say S 361 or possibly S 383. Doubt it's a 383 if original though in a Newport.

Newports came standard with a 361 but you could get the optional 383 2 barrel.

361. Actually it says 36. It sure has a unique looking dash in it. The turning signals are on the instrument panel from the factory.
