I just thought I would post up this picture of what my living room looked like near the height of restoring parts before they went back on the car and before the paint and body work was done in early 2013. I just put the last parts on about a week ago and finally the room is empty!

This of course doesn't show all the new stuff that was in a spare bedroom and all the stuff taken off the car that filled up a shelving unit in the basement, but finally I have most of the house back now!

If you gotta wife in that house too, I sure hope you appreciate her!

Wow! My wife loves the charger, but that would never have happened!

While she was home anyway! :headbang:

mmmm....I just love what you've done with this place

Congrats on getting the car together :headbang:

I feel like an idiot - I went and bought 3 large shelving units for all my restoration parts, and here I could have just used my existing space in the house lol. Dittos on the wife, she is a keeper for sure.

That looks likes my dad's game room in his house the last time I was back there on vacation. We were restoring a bunch of parts for my RR and at the same time restoring some parts for his 69 Mach 1 and 67 Sting Ray. I thought my stepmom was going to kill him. Every time I am back in town, I can be a little bit of a bad influence. I made sure all my parts were neatly organized in the garage before I left. I didn't want to suffer her wrath. Lol. Congrats on getting them all put on!

30 years ago I brought a girl home, at the time I had half a car stored in my bedroom.

We're still together, but I've had to modify my behavior a bit over the years......

I have no wife or girlfriend, so no worries on my end with where I kept parts here! LOL Although when people came over they were amazed at the amount of stuff and wondered how I knew where it all went and how I was going to put it all back together.

Lots of cool stuff in the house, bachelor pad for sure... Although "most women" wouldn't put up with that, they just don't get it... I've had parts & parts boxes, usually so they wouldn't rust, before I could get too them etc., stored in different places in the house, all my life... But I've never taken up a whole floor or whole room thou... I've had some great & tolerant women in my life, that all knew it was something I did, it wasn't a mess or dirty parts, always organized/well kept, usually for just a short time too & they just dealt with it... Or they wouldn't have lasted otherwise... Most my stuff was sealed & stored in the garage shelves or storage shed for the most part... I've been guilty of building stuff on tables in the house too, put down cardboard or a tarp even... Built an engine in a hotel room in Bakersfield once, I was young & dumb, had to get it done...

Mine would have pistol whipped me...
You sure she would have PW'd you or does she know how to work that weapon? I'm guessing the first, better that than high impact lead poisoning.

house of mopar, got to love it. did you say you had a wife????

Well Idrivemopar . . . I think it's very nicely decorated ! ! ( SMILE )

I spent the afternoon assembling and setting up a six pack setup in my bedroom one day ... I had set it on the the stereo cabinet. This was in the first month or so we were married. I was standing back and admiring my achievement and was very proud of it as you are prone to be

My wife came home from work and immediately said " get that hunk of metal out of the bedroom "

I haven't done that again in 30 years

Cool!! When I was single, everything went into the living from motorcycles to cars but today, even tho my wife is a car nut too, she has the house too full of stuff for me to do that but says the garage is mine, the house is hers.
