So I have a 1976 360 with stock heads. They have the holes in the middle of them for EGR. I have a Non-EGR Intake and would like to put it on. It is an Edelbrock Performer RPM Air Gap. As you can see from the pictures, the upside-down smiley face holes will be exposed when the intake is installed. The round holes would be covered by the intake, although the gasket set I have now has a cutout for them.

Can this intake be used on theses heads, with the gaskets I have? Thank you. IMG_20190503_144518172.jpg IMG_20190503_144524255.jpg

Those holes are your heat crossover passages. Sure, you can run that intake on your motor. You should expect your choke not to work & to have less issues with "vapor lock" aka fuel boiling. No problem.

So the round hole is the heat crossover and the half moon is for EGR? Or am I mistakenly that either of these are EGR related?
Also, should I be concerned with exhaust escaping from the exposed half moon once the intake is installed?
Thank you

The half moon is so the high heat from the exhaust crossover doesn’t burn the oil on the inside of the cylinder head. They are sealed off, no fluid or exhaust will come out of those. Same on BB mopars.

Nothing there has anything to do with an EGR.
