I hope to test it out more this weekend. Its going to be fun for the kids and myself of course. The engine was replaced by the factory last year as they could not find the problem of it just shutting down. It was replace with a newer style fuel injection which in California had to happen. The lower units was gone though at the same time. Run time on both is 20 hours so I hope to not have many problems but we will see.
I am going to add a couple of more seat, give it a good cleaning, then enjoy it as much as possible.
Is that a straight 6? Hard to tell from the pic. If it's a 6 that will be enough to get me up on a single ski without kicking in the JATO trolling motor. Haha! I have an old Tahiti jet boat and love it. You can even tow it with the Bee! Just do the required maintenance and you will be OK. On the Merc IOs there is a rubber water pump impeller that can dry out and often needs replacement if the boat sits for along time. Just learn everything you can about the outdrive.
He replace the impeller about 6 months ago so it will be good for this season. It is a inline 4 (3.0L) and I am not sure of the horsepower but I think its around 135.
Funny thing is my dad used to tow our ski boat with the Bee but I don't think I will be doing that.
