I have just started this build. The car has the normal rust as you can see. I have chosen the trackhawk powertrain for it. This will make it a little more complicated. To top it off I like my cars low so that will add more issues as the front diff will require the engine to be higher in the chassis.

Warning: this is not for the purists and faint of heart.

Welcome aboard... so your turning the most iconic muscle car into a 4X4?

Yeah, big difference between a 4x4 and AWD. I know not all of you will like it but ‍some will.

It will be interesting to see how you negotiate the clearance issues with the front drivetrain. Also, would be pretty cool to see and Charger doing a 4 wheel burnout!

I'll be watching. Very interesting and am glad its not another clone.

Haha, now that you shown that picture I might change direction. Besides the T top I might go full convertible.

I'll be watching too. I'm going to do a complete swap with a 2015-2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT 6.4L. Everything but the body and that includes adapting the body to make the RHD conversion. I'm on my own and a complete rookie with minimal skills
:wtf:

Some progress has been made. Car is gutted and mock-up has started so I can get all my measurements for the frame

Whether you guys like it or not, the drivetrain is still Mopar.
AWD has advantages in straight line traction and cornering where traction may be limited. I don’t quite see the advantage for a street car but hey..... I’m interested anyway.
Good luck !

As a redeye owner I can say I am looking forward to the advantage’s the AWD offers. Sure, it’s cool to lay rubber at a 60mph roll but it fades. Did some autocross with it and the AWD would make it a much faster ride.

Made some progress on the frame. Working on getting the rear suspension crossmember sized up to fit in the new frame.
