My dad had a ‘67 Chevelle. But a “Chevelle” could also come as a “Chevelle Malibu”.

In this example and how it relates to your OP question, would “Chevelle” suffice? Or are you looking for “Chevelle Malibu”?

How far do we go to answer the question correctly?

I'm looking for year, make & model.
If the model has a "sub name" that distinguishes it from other similar models (as Mopars often do), please include that.

Nope, although I did discover after dad's passing that the car he worked on in HS auto body class was indeed a '69 RR!
