Just wondering what size slicks you guys are running? PSI also would help.

I am running Super Stock springs so was wondering what size slicks is best for traction

Without spring modification, i think you can go 29x10.5 ..... I run 28x10.5 with no rubbing issues ..... 10-15 PSI

31x10.5Wx15 But you aren't running in the A or B index.:icon_axe:

I have the springs in board alot. Also am looking to see what rims width/backspacing. With the right backspacing I could put 11.5 or 12's without mini tubs

factory wheel wells ?? no mods ??

no its tubbed.
my 65 dodge coronet a990 hemi with stock location wheelwells and stock leaf springs have 30x10 x15 with 6.5 back spacing.

What tires/rims/backspacing are you running on the 63 next to the 65?

Were running 29.5 10.5 Phoenix tires. The car is mini tubed with Cal Tracs single Springs,
The tires work great!!!! I highly recommend them. We've been running 15lbs, if I had more time to test I would of tried to go up to 15.5 -16.
If the track was questionable we would drop down to 14.5.
Phoenix told me to keep going up in tire pressure until we lose traction then go back. The more pressure you can run and still hook the better.

The biggest slick that you can run is a 10.5wx31.0 if you run NSS/A (10.0)or slower in most NSS groups you must run 9.75 or quicker to run the max tire size of 10.5w x 33.0. Probably the most common and well fitting on the 63'-65' cars is the 10.5 x 29.5. That is what we run with stock wheel wells.

YES 10" rim is the widest you can go with stock wheelwells.
hope this helps.

29.5 tire is the tallest i can run also since i went to ladderbars. it lowered the car.
but when these pictures were taken i was running caltracs with monoleaf springs.

What gear are you using with your 29.5 x 10.5's

Were running 4.56 Rear. Stock trans lower gear. 29.5 - 10.5 rear tires with 10" rims, I think the back spacing is 6.5"

Mini tubbed with cal trac's leafs.

Car goes through around 7400-7500.

The car with driver is around 3675

I ran 12" rims with leaf springs as well. I thought he said the springs were moved in with a MP kit?
