What are we working on?

Should plug into a connector near the bulkhead connector.

I cant seem to find it. I'm working on a 70 charger 440 automatic, the po by passed the nss with a wire from the relay to the engine

the harness is an old one off an a body, it's like new

A body year?

up to 71s Mopars, 2 of the 3 wires of NSS runs to bulkhead conector. On a 70 B body if I recall correctly runs to wiper motor plug. The other wire, brown traced yellow, runs straight to starter relay ground prong, but becoming on a female plug to plug into the prong.

wires going to the cab are black and black traced, just for the reverse light.

will need to modify the harness you got to make it work on your car

Laters A bodies NSS harness got diff wiring colors set up... violet, black and gray I think ?.

@ Nacho...como chingow hehe mopar wiring is so confusing, are there any after market nss/reverse light harnesses out there? and thats yet another reason I have a 5lb fire extingisher on hand

is this the harness I need?reverse light harness plug.jpgreverse light harness.jpg

I'll get another pic this one is useless

that harness I have is pre 69 and they were A B compatable back then sooo anyone need an a body harness?

The harness should hook into the wiper harness i bought a new one for my 69 rr it was 35 bucks for it from classic that e body harness should work though ,

View attachment 180618 are e body harnesses interchangeable with B BODY?

well... we can say yes, but with some notes ( being strict )

70s and 71 Es didn't got the NSS ground signal into the cab, same as 71 B... so in a perfect match, all 70/71 E will be a perfect match with 71 B.

then all Mopars in 72s required the neutral ground signal into the cab to controling the seatbelt signals. So a 72/74 E body will be the perfect match with 72 B

these last won't be a perfect match with 73/74 B bodies just because the Ground wire from NSS is way shorter on these due the diff location of Starter relay, BUT would require just to get it shorten to the location of Relay, that's all

ANOTHER NOTE... to use the E body on a 70 B body OR use the first one you shown, you can simply remove the terminals from the existant plug, and insert it into the wiper plug ( or any plug existnatn in between, can't recall if 70s got an extra plug in the middle ), BUT just the black wires which are the reverse signal wires!!! thats all.

the 3rd wire, brown traced if existant into the plug, doesn't need to get it into the cab, just to the starter relay. This setup began on 72s
