Any of you guys ever see a driprail on a 69 b body extend down the front windshield post all the way under the door? I've looked, without success, for another or at least a reason, but... Why in He%# would anyone go to the trouble to do this?

Is a piece spliced on at the bottom? Blowing up the photo I think I see a parting line or joint at the bottom but too difficult to tell for sure on a photo. Not sure why though.

It is for sure, but it's a very precise addition, and both doors are rolled back to barely clear them. Makes no sense at all. Seems like a lot of trouble, for what?

Sound like some Kindig or Foose want-a-be in the past thought it looked incomplete and went for a subtle custom touch.

Did it have stainless gutter edge trim on it - wonder how they would deal with that?

No, was it optional? Not sure I ever seen one without it. Not really any other mickey mouse "custom" touches. Don't understand why anyone would do it. I most likely will remove it and put the stainless driprail trim on. Just curious about it. Thanks for the insights. jess in ky

Apparently it must have been. Do any of you guys have a B body that was built without the driprail chrome? I've never noticed it missing from any b body I ever looked at. BUT this car must not have had it, check out attached pics of turn down at top of WS post, one car with driprail chrome (removed) and this car, no driprail chrome. Does this have anything to do with the driprail extending down under door?
*****Disclaimer, sorry to beat a dead horse, just curious*****
