Ok electric gurus…. No horn!

The gray connector that has two greens and a violet connect to the bottom of the horn relay.
Black to top terminal.

I do not have a connector with 2 greens and violet wire. In fact there is no violet wire anywhere. And the bottom of my relay only is a single stud. The top has the double stud

I have one wire going to the horn relay, it is green with red stripe. It is split into 2 connectors, one is on bottom of the relay the other it not connected to any thing. On the top of the relay there are 2 studs, 1 is perpendicular to the other. A double connector goes on there, with 1 wire going to a horn, and the other wire going to other horn. There are no wires connected to the alternator.

You got a wire pulled out of the connector

And notice your missing a wire where the purple B+ power wire should be...
Ok, obviously i have no power wire to the relay. I understand it goes on the “horizontal blade “ approximately in middle of the relay. But where does it come from?

Maybe the funky colored wire coming from the horizontal spade terminal on the relay noticed here going to the horn is really supposed to go to a 12v supply?

Scratch that last pic…
BDNFL….
You may have nailed it…. Upon close inspection, see pic, that double connector has a wire missing….
It is the terminal that goes onto the horizontal spade on the relay.
The question is, where does the other end go? I assume to a 12v source somewhere?

Green on my car is ground, from hirn button to the relay
Technically, that green is an isolated ground wire. Points of contact are the steering wheel switch via the column and the relay coil.

A FSM will help immensely here for the OP.

I have a wiring diagram, but a newbie at electrical stuff….
Do you know where the 12v comes from going to the horn relay?

Violet tee’s into two black wires.
One black goes to bulkhead at terminal C.
Other goes to a four wire plug.
It’s a lot to try and explain.
Look FSM page 8-108 figure 12.
Look around your left side engine bay area for a dangling violet wire.

Will do, but if no loose violet wire, can i get 12v somewhere that goes to the relay? Where would the violet wite come from?
PS: i dont think this car has original harness

Following this blurry diagram that I found courtesy of @Pops1967GTX ....12 Volts positive comes from the starter relay on the firewall.

Your FSM should have a clearer picture for you to follow.

Ok thanks ill check in the morning.appreciate it.
By the way, if in fact this wire from starter relay is missing, i can just install one? I assume it will be a constant 12v supply terminal?
Oh, and is the starter relay the part located under the bulkhead connector on the firewall with a “bunch” of wires on it? :)

You need to read the FSM and understand the wiring diagram. If it doesn't make sense, read it again until it does. Imagine the satisfaction you will have fixing these simple wiring issues without running to your computer asking for help. This is a 5 minute diagnosis job, and another 5 minute fix. You learn nothing by people telling you the answers.

Here's a couple pictures of the correct wiring. ('69 Dodge) The second picture shows the light violet wire disappearing into the wiring harness, near the back of the alternator.

It's the shiny (or rusted anodised steel) thing with a 5/16" stud (or 3/8") and a square captive washer holding a small yellow wire, as well as a big heavy wire to the battery and another heavy wire with a small attached one taped to it that go to the starter motor (that thing that gets in the way of the headers)..... yes.

Sorry, i do not agree, Maybe a five minute fix for you, and many other people, not for me, or I would not be on here. Not everyone understands manuals/diagrams.
Are not these forums designed to help people with questions? I think yes.
I’ve received MUCH info and education on this forum from great experienced people who are willing to share.

Take a picture of that page in your FSM, and post it here.

I don't have that specific drawing in a readable form..... post a pic, and we will gladly help. Trying to understand what people write when they don't understand what they are trying to say makes life difficult for everyone.

Where does the horn relay wire connect to on the starter relay?
