I'm neither, I just kind of do my own thing. Wouldn't consider it new school or old school. If I were to pick an older car vs. newer car it will always be the older. I love the smell of old cars, the interior and exhaust smell. I love immediate throttle response and the fact that you can feel everything on the road in an old car. There is too many electronics in cars now, it takes the enjoyment out of driving.

Myself I am mostly old school as you can see with my 63 Sport Fury even with the rollbar I like the original factory looking interior and tried to keep as much of the factory interior as I could. I like the 60's and 70's muscle cars to look old school like they did back in the day.
I mean if you take Chip Foose who is a very talanted man but I pretty much hate almost every muscle car he gets involved with as to me he degrades them most of the time with the big 20" wheels which look ugly to me on a 60's muscle car. And some of the custom things he does to them look totally wrong to me on a muscle car. Maybe it looks good on a new car thats no more then 10 years old but not on old muscle to me. But dont get me wrong as I do agree that because of technology some of the new parts and other things will help even the old school cars. And I have no problem with the younger kids liking the new cars as thats what I did in the 60's as I just dont think most newer mods look good on old muscle cars. But I am glad the younger generation is into cars to keep this hobby goping. Ron

old school needs to stay old school. If "muscle" it was made that way, its only original once! Customize, by adding "your own touch" to the FACTORY interior..

Keep it "real" re-upholster the factory seats and door panels, with new thread....

Not that its wrong, but this is just me.....

I kind of like it both way's. A little old and a little new. This is Bad A$$

I kind of like it both way's.

careful....:tied up:

JK, I think if the dash insert and gauge area would have had the been painted to match the trim, that would have broke up all the black on the dash better, dash looks outta place kinda, still very nicely done.

Coronet340
If i recall correctly they are out of a late model SAAB!

I like New original style repop.... I got a second cluster and modified it to a volt gauge.... I will make new door cards for speakers.... but I save all the original parts and then have them restored to New as/ if possible... so I can enjoy the amenities of a custom car suspension and brakes and interior but still be able to put it back to original some day if needed.... having a bone stocker in boxes and a resto mos on the street and a street racer in boxes.... 3 in one... like you would get in a Revell 1 to 1 model kit.....

I like the Modern fuel Injection, it's time for carburetors to get deep sixed these are just too good now. But a 67 RT Coronet interior is very classy for that period car. My Son has a new Charger the interuiors are really good not too hard to like.

My 67 will have a modified gauge cluster with new gauges in it. Beyond that its all going to be stock, door panels might get re-covered by that is for saving money and not being able to find what I want.

May go to bucket seats some day and make a custom console...but that is a long way off

I also went with modern fuel injection and a G3 Hemi....so far this has been a GREAT choice!

Also for the nay sayers that say that the G3 isn't a real hemi...its configuration is actually better then a true hemi. The squish areas promote a better burn for more complete combustion which helps with power and emissions. My gen 3 makes 345 hp and 375 lb-ft with 345 cubic inches, gets better fuel economy then a 2 bbl 318 and is capable of a lot more with some tuning. (345 and 375 are the ratings from the truck with A/C and power steering...) So don't complain about it not being a hemi...its legacy + technology

Old people: old school.

Young people: new school.

I'm halfway between and I like them both.

fence turtle...don't know which way to fall even worse..don't know how he got there..but yes..each car speaks how it will be built to each owner in time...there is no wrong way...but often not the right way...lol

I like my cars to be as org as poss but here and there I'll add something to make it a little diff. I don't like the new interior in a old car it just doesn't look right

old school ..even steel rims and dog dishes on most muscle cars ..personal touch here or there ..may paint a grille black to make it look sinister ..saw a AAR stripe on duster I liked but thats as far as I go
