Okay, another "whats it worth" Post...Original 426 HEMI

GREAT color combo on the Bee...
Of course I'm biased....
As much as I love the 426 Hemi, and undoubtedly-absolutely would have one, because my 70 Roadrunner is a real V-Code car (not # matching motor) I will ALWAYS have a RB motor in it with 3 x 2 of something on top, so I am spared the temptation of the Hemi.
20k without a doubt.

I'm trying to Down Size, getting older...possibly selling a few items/cars

Hey ski, I bought the car out of South Carolina, and some friends in North Carolina owned it before that. I was told the car was originally from PA, so it may have migrated through Ohio. RT/SE, 383, 4-spd, non-console car, & Go-Mango ?

Yeah they like to under-rate them by showing the HP at silly low rpms like 5000...nothing makes power above 5K like a hemi!

I watched an episode of Nick's Garage on YT recently. If you're aware of Nick, he's a lifelong Mopar kind of guy and he knows how
to build an engine. They had a customers' hemi on the dyno after a rebuild; it was redone stock as possible.
Once tuned, the engine laid down a touch over 500hp using a single Holley; Nick put the twin 4's on it afterwards and dialed them in.
He said something to the effect of "these factory hemi's were good for 500hp stock all day", which is what I've always heard about them as well.

Mine was something like 450ish at a paltry 5,000 RPM..

I've been quoted to build mine is mid teens. ( basically all stock street hemi ) upper teens to go stroker

Ive seen brand new engines in mid 20s.

The hot rod stuff will hold it back. So im thinking high teens / 20...maybe low/mid 20s if your lucky.
But a stock buyer will probably keep looking

But ive been Wrong before.
So what.do i know

I think the right price is $20,000-$25,000 for your motor. See the two Hemmings ads for Hemi engines I have uploaded. Good luck with the sale.

Engine was in Bob's 1966 Hemi Belvedere until he found a 1966 Short Block.
Bob's 1966 Belvedere (white) is the lowest mileage in the world, he is the original owner.
I purchased this engine from him in 2004 and I installed it in my 70 Superbee, 2010.
I'm seriously thinking of going back to my original 383

This is a true last "Last month of production" 1969 "426" Hemi, Correct for any 1970/1971 Automatic car

Why did you decide to go back to a 383? Im installing one in my 71 charger with some clearance issues on the right shock tower. Did you have the same problem and did you run the A/C? Thanks
