People use dating sites to rob people all of the time they, either weasel personal info from you or they ask you to meet at a shady place and you get robbed

To set the record straight, the money scam has nothing to do with the on line hook ups, that came from an entirely different source.
Look up Bob & Carol Martin, they won the
British lotto....... 33 BGP ..... Claiming to be them.
I've walked the mile in life Guys, I keep my eyes open, and there is a reason I've been single for so long, got the Heart shattered long ago, vowed it would not happen again. Just having some fun....... and the pictures of the 25 yr old, two, are the only ones legit, no potosopping. The rest are...... but Texas might be on the level, would I feel wrong to date someone so Young.... No, not with how undisciplined mainstream society is anymore, Even though Women infuriate me @ times, I treat them All with Dignity & Respect & always fear for Their safety.
Love is blind, but I'm not, I never give up the store, why I've been single so long. Great to see the traffic on here, beats hell out of the tin foil thread, Right? (subdued laughter)

Seen a bad one over here in Australia, a work friend of my girlfriend fell in love on the screen, could not shut up about this wonderful man of hers. It was only a few weeks into this online thing that she had sent some money to him in another country, he even had flowers sent to her !!! My girlfriend was telling her that it's more than likely a scam and don't send cash but she was all gooey in love.
More cash, and I think more than she had, finished with "Im picking him up from the airport today" , you guessed it, he didn't show, blubbering and crying from her car outside the airport. Some how it was part my girls fault and she hates her now ???

Funny how friends know you better that you do.
I went through three bad relationships, then one of my crew and his wife set me up on a blind date with a girl they said was perfect for me. They were right. Been married to her for 31 years. ;)

I've been on two blind dates in my life....married the second one @28 and that lasted 5 years and cost me a bunch of bucks and the loss of a daughter. No worries, the daughter is still alive. Just her mom made sure she hated me. The first blind date was when I was 25 and she was a knock out but turned out to be only 15 AND I got the clap from her! You'd think that I would have learned something about blind dates after the first time but noooooo, had to try it again and marry her At this point in time after remarrying someone that I met back in 1970 when I was 19 and getting back in touch when I was 35 and having another kid I'm thinking that I wasn't meant to be married or have kids. It's been a difficult road to say the least. No health issues thank God but being a type A married to someone that's a type A towards me but is a type B with everyone else including the kids doesn't work very well....

I like the fact that you do meet a lot of people. But it's the same as buying a car. You better do your homework and know what you're getting. I met a lot of disturbed women on the sites. 80% are the reason their previous relationship didn't work. The other 20% are victims of their previous relationship.
Knowing which ones are hackers takes a little trial and error too. Broken english, asking you to go to yahoo to talk, asking for money ect.
I got tired of the wack jobs on there and gave it up. I have a real good friend (we graduated high school together) and we keep it simple, nothing serious. Just do things together and have fun...
